The Hampton Roads Rx discount program has broken through a major milestone with more than $500,000 in members savings to-date. Launched in early 2015 by Paramount Rx, the discount program is free and open to residents in the Hampton Roads community to use at area pharmacies, including preferred provider Farm Fresh Food & Pharmacy.

Local residents can print off a Hampton Roads Rx discount card from the program website and present it to their local pharmacy to achieve significant cost savings. By presenting the card each time they fill a prescription, users can save up to 70 percent off generic drugs and 20 percent off brand-name medications.

“At a time when many local residents are struggling with higher health care costs, the Hampton Roads Rx discount program provides much relief on their budget,” said Ray Hernandez, pharmacy district manager at Farm Fresh. “We’re proud to be a part of the program and remain committed to the local community, providing resources for residents to save money and gain more access to important medical prescriptions.”

The Hampton Roads discount program provides online tools to help card users locate a participating pharmacy and research drug pricing and availability, including generic alternatives from the convenience of their own homes.
